JOHN KELLY
FOUNDER
John founded Nexben to connect more Americans with affordable healthcare. With a relentless passion for reshaping the benefits landscape, John’s goal is to flip the industry on its head—with Nexben leading the way.
Prior to Nexben, John founded Insurtech in 2012. In 2016 he created the first ICHRA product to help rural schools, cities, and communities control their skyrocketing healthcare costs. The savings generated allowed employees to receive their first cost of living pay increase in over five years.
With 30 years of group benefits experience, John’s innovative thinking and profound understanding of the field put him in a unique position to deliver change, stand at the forefront of the industry, and guide the Nexben team toward unlocking new possibilities. John currently works with policy makers and industry experts evolving the ICHRA and championing making healthcare more affordable for all.
KEITH HUCKABY
PRESIDENT
Keith drives vision and strategy at Nexben—motivated by the desire to innovate, disrupt, and transform the benefits industry. He provides a unique perspective on aligning the broader organizational vision while empowering employees to thrive individually and collectively.
Before moving into the world of group health benefits, Keith’s extensive background in consulting and hospitality honed his affinity for solving problems, optimizing systems, and generally making things better for people. From operations and employee retention at Disney to owning franchised restaurants, Keith’s roles shaped the philosophy and work ethics that fuel Nexben and inspire his team today.
Keith balances navigating the challenges of group health benefits with spending time at home—exploring the world and going on adventures with his three kids.

Todd is responsible for product strategy and strategic partnerships—focusing on creating partnerships to distribute the Nexben Solution and simplifying benefits administration and payment.
Todd’s career has been spent at the forefront of consumer finance and health insurance innovation. He’s a nationally-recognized expert on HSAs and consumer-directed healthcare—and the author of The HSA Owner’s Manual. Todd earned his bachelor’s from McKendree College, and his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
Todd enjoys golf, four-wheeling, and singing and playing bass at his church and with his band, “The World’s Okayest Cover Band.”
MATT DARRAGH

Matt serves as a key contributor to the senior leadership team by providing critical insights and information to drive strategic decisions. His work ensures that Nexben charts its path based on facts—not feelings.
Matt’s background is focused on technology, finance, and data analysis. His previous leadership experience at TGG Solutions and several agriculture companies offer a wealth of expertise to inform strategic decision-making. Matt earned his bachelor’s in Accounting from Michigan State University.
ANEDRA EATMAN
VP OF PEOPLE OPERATIONS
Anedra’s leadership in human resources and customer experience gives her the chance to work across all functions of Nexben—supporting the company’s mission and vision.
With 25 years in human resource, Anedra’s professional experience includes driving change management at TGG Solutions, developing and creating workflow processes at Grand Rapids Public Schools, and being considered an innovator at Van Andel Research Institute. Anedra earned her bachelor’s in human resources from Davenport University and her master’s in management from Cornerstone University.
Anedra’s passion to serve guides all aspects of her life—family, faith, community and career. What keeps Anedra focused and grounded outside of work is her love and dedication to her two princesses.
JULIE HALGREN
VP OF MARKETING
Julie’s role as VP is to drive the marketing vision and roadmap—bringing the Nexben brand to life. She makes complex topics easy to understand for all audiences, taking a whole lot of stress out of navigating health benefits.
Julie’s background includes organizations like Thrivent Financial and FICO that built her foundation in the financial services industry. She also spent time challenging the status quo—and researching and identifying innovative solutions that drove change. Julie earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, and Finance from Luther College in Iowa. She also received a Chartered Life Underwriting (CLU) designation from the American College.
Being part of a company that consistently innovates to meet customer needs and disrupt the industry is what keeps Julie excited to come to work each day.
LISA MARZOLINO
SVP OF CUSTOMER SUCCESS
Lisa leads customer goals and product utilization—overseeing a team comprised of relationship management, compliance, customer onboarding, and customer care departments. Her team captures and tracks customer feedback, and collaborates on developing strategies to expand product features, retaining and expanding customer relationships, and improving customer and partner satisfaction. Ultimately, Lisa is dedicated to improving the overall customer experience at Nexben.
With nearly 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, Lisa brings a unique understanding of the insurance ecosystem. Her years in project management and consulting give her the unique perspective to build repeatable, scalable solutions that create long-term value for all stakeholders. She earned a certificate of project management from Davenport University and a project management professional (PMP) accreditation from the Project Management Institute.

An Individual Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) is an employer-funded, tax-free health benefit used to reimburse employees for individual health insurance premiums and other qualified medical expenses. With an ICHRA, the choice and responsibility shift from employer to employee—it is the employee who determines where and how to spend the employer’s pre-determined contributions.
By offering an ICHRA:
- Employers define contribution limits and have more flexibility in plan design, and employees may choose the coverage that best fits their unique needs. The employer establishes the reimbursement allowance per employee class.
- Employees shop the marketplace and purchase the individual health insurance policy that works best for them. Employees provide proof of coverage, and the employer reimburses them up to the pre-determined contribution allowance. Anything owed above and beyond the contribution amount, the remainder, is the employee’s responsibility and may be payroll deducted by their employer.
ICHRAs are centered on a reimbursement model,sometimes referred to as a defined contribution approach). This gives employees greater cost control and predictability, and offers employees more coverage options to choose from. This is very different from the traditional group insurance market model (sometimes referred to as a defined benefit approach) where employers select a one-size-fits-most group plan, and employees are limited to options selected by the employer.
With a defined contribution approach, a health benefits package is designed around a set dollar amount, not around a set of plans—and Nexben’s ICHRA Solution makes it simple.
